Ok, now that that's out of the way - do yourself a favor and never, ever, under any circumstances, rent a car from this establishment.
Each trip takes AT LEAST 45 minutes as they navigate their computer system, which may very well be the first computer system given all of the struggles they have with it. Do they ever have the car I pre-order? Nah. Is there always an error with their system? Yep. Is there always a room full of bewildered patrons just begging to rent their cars and get out of their? You betcha.
At this point, if I go back there again, it is totally my fault. I will never step foot back in that establishment and neither should you. Your time is too precious.
This group of employees relocated from Sears auto Center in Tyrone Square mall. I rent a car every single month for a week and I have rented from every rental agency there is and I've always come back to Avis. I have been renting from this particular group of employees since November of last year and I can say hands-down I have never found a more courteous and professional group of employees. I know that every time I make a reservation my car will be there waiting for me clean and full of fuel. Hands-down I would highly recommend this specific Avis location because they make the rental experience enjoyable. And for those of you who do rent vehicles often give this location a chance and you'll see what I mean by how they make A difference in your rental experience.
The real coup de grâce was today, when I began my death march through the front door, fully expecting for this to be the typical one hour ordeal (I brought a book) - but alas - this time the ENTIRE system was down and I was told they cannot rent me a car at all. No car. No refund. No nothing. Apologies for the inconvenience! Call this number! Feel free to punch yourself in the face over and over again until you pass out!
Renting from Avis was the worst experience ever in my life .this is the first time I ever rented a car and I would never rent from Avis .The staff on 66 was horrible they don't even want take Time out to check the car before or after you rent and Earl at 66 was very rude And because of my stupidity I lost the key which I know I have to pay for not a problem but then with the tow truck people and Avis was horrible I had to go all the way to Tampa to deal with those rude people so I had go out my way to pick another car up witch they should of brung me a car ..the supervisor Ben was rude to his employee and very unprofessional this rental cost me about $600 for a week .never again and I would never recommend avis or the people they hire it's all the cars the whole experience ruined my daughter's birthday ..
I am a loyal Avis renter and probably get at least one car per month. I have given this particular location many, many chances since it is so close to my house. After today, I will trek all the way down to Tampa International for my rentals if I have to.

You know what that just was? A brief work of pure fiction. Because that has never happened.
"Hey guys I'm here to pick up my rental car that I already reserved and paid for online," I say as I walk in the door. "No problem, sir, it's all ready for you - being that you pre-booked everything and we are a well organized and smoothly running business. Here are the keys! Enjoy your trip!" they respond.
First, let me just say, I think the guys that work here are nice and do the best they possibly can...
Rent a car from another Avis location, another rental company, take a bicycle, use sled dogs, literally ANYTHING but this location.
