Rude lady at the toll booth. For the price you pay to get on the bridge you would think the bathrooms would be operating properly. Toilets don't flish and the dryers don't work either. Just sad how it's going down hill.
My handicapped son was dying to go fishing. I assumed it was a real pier. It's an old bridge I guess. Cost $32 to get on bridge. Rented two poles and after about 1 hour of continually getting caught on bottom and breaking the line or pulling up sea weed, we gave up. It's too shallow and too rocky or something. Nothing like any other pier I've visited. And absolutely nothing for a spectator to do. Don't waste your money. Find a real pier that extends out into the ocean.
Went fishing with my kid there today. Went to use my debit card at the bait shop south end and his machine wasn't working right do I used the atm there. When I got home and checked my bank account the atm double charged me with fees. I tried to call two different numbers on the websites but both rang forever and then said no mailbox was set up. Florida State parks need to check up on who is running this place. Won't be going back anytime soon.
This is a great place to fish if you are new to the area. Price gets you on both north and south sides. And covers the need for a fishing license. Bait shop on both sides open 24h same with restrooms. No alcohol or pets allowed on the pier.
Used to be nice until all the rude and obnoxious Asians with pool nets started taking over. I complained to the people in charge and nothing was done. I hate it there now.
