This was my first visit to this Doctor Helm, I had a great experience, the staff was very customer service oriented and very nice to me. Dr. Helm is a great person, I hit it off with him immediately. He seems to be a laid back kind of guy. I give this a 5 plus rating.
I have been going to Dr Helms for 2 years or more. I find that he is a very laid back guy and a great listener. He is absolutely the best doctor that I have been to in the past 17 years that I have lived in Florida.
I am the primary care giver to my mother and she has been a patient of Dr. Helm's office for over 12 years. I took over her care 2 years ago and have found the wait for service to be extended- sometimes an hour to an hour and a half. As a professional, that is an insane amount of time to wait for a routine check up.
Warning!! Terrible service, extremely rude staff who hung up on me and were blatantly careless in their scheduling.
The doc is good, but not that great to keep our service. We've fired him and found a much more warm, friendly and better run office that respects us, our time and does not hang up on us or keep us on hold for 5 minutes on the phone.
When told we have a problem with the wait time, it was expressed that we take that up with the doctor-- as if by the time we see him, over 60 minutes has gone by, that does not do any good.
I high recommend him to anyone who wants a caring doctor. He has a wonderful staff of people working with him. If you have a question, they are there with an answer.
Most recently, I had an experience with the front desk staff where I called to reschedule a double book dr appointment and was rudely attended to, passed onto 3 different service reps and then hung up on by the last attendant who expressed my mother could go without meds before coming in for our "rescheduled" appointment.
