This place is always a favorite stop for a day alone with the little ones. There's something for everyone, a little place for food & drinks, and a kids play area with plenty of cool toys to buy. I used to read and spend hours here when I had nothing to do. Cool spot.
Good class "B" store. Barnes & Noble has a larger class "A" store on 19 in Clearwater just north of Clearwater Mall.
Took away two stars because 1. Employee did not know where book / author was at 2. On the website the book i wanted cost $8 and when I went to the store the book cost $17. To fix this keep your prices consistent and in check with your store and website and for the employee make sure he/she knows where the books and authors are located.
I don't write reviews very often but I felt compelled to after a visit to this Barnes and Noble. What a horrible experience it was trying to shop here. I get is a relaxed environment but after wandering around half the store for twenty minutes we could only identify one employee. There is no uniform of any kind and no way to identify an employee except that they may be carrying a set of keys. I stood by while this employee made idle chit chat with a customer and after five or so minutes for frustrated and walked off. There weren't any kiosks either that you can normally use to find an item. After seeing this employee for a second time we asked if she could assist us and her response was that she was helping another customer and she would be right with us (while telling the other customer she would look up his book). Well it would be just plain efficient if you took two seconds to ask what I need, maybe you could look up our book while you're over there. The store is clean, and the selection seems decent, but I'm certainly not coming to this location again. Idk, maybe I'm having a bad day, or maybe their customer service is non-existent.
I LOVE book stores but not this one. Finding someone to help is almost impossible. The person at the cash register acted like he was doing me a favor. A book that I was looking for was not with the other books the author had written or with the new releases but in another area altogether. If it had not been for another customer I would have never found it. People sitting on the floor blocking access to the shelves. I will not be going back.
