The first treat of Craftsman House is the beautiful restoration of this magnificent Arts & Crafts bungalow. This house was long abandoned when the owners purchased it & spent months returneing to its original beauty.
This could very well be the best kept secret in St Pete. Beautiful arts and craftsmanship as well as delicious tea and a wonderfully relaxing and inspiring place to work from my laptop.
This inviting shop has an excellent collection of crafts. We went to a few other recommended craft galleries in town and this one was our favorite. There was not only great glass, pottery, fiber...they also have a small cafe with espresso drinks and snacks. The front porch, enclosed side porch and patio make a perfect place to relax and enjoy!
I was wrong. The final treat is that the opening of this gallery has spurred revitalization in this area of St. Pete. It is a great example of what can be accomplished by a couple of talented people willing to roll up their sleeves to create something beautiful.
The final treat is the yummy food at the cafe. I usually hit Craftsman House toward the end of a day of antique shopping & love to relax & recharge in the cozy cafe.
