We took our Toyota Tundra there for a clutch issue. They replaced out clutch master cylinder and after about a month we were back to square one with the same issue: we could not get the clutch to engage. We were then told that the whole clutch kit needed to be replaced, but with the one clutch master cylinder under warranty, we were told by Mike that they replaced the clutch master cylinder again to hold us over until we could afford the almost $1,000 for the entire clutch kit. We could barely drive it home a block down the road with this supposed replacement of the 2nd clutch master cylinder. We let the truck sit for almost 3 months thinking we needed a whole new clutch kit and my husband could not work his regular jobs while the truck was down. We then decided to get a second opinion. Almost 4 month ago, we took it to Peterson's Auto and Truck and they (again? or was it ever replaced) the clutch master cylinder and it has had absolutely no problem and they could find absolutely no reason for a whole new kit. While there they also had to re-adjust the belts that we also had done at Mike affordable Auto Care that since had been squealing the very day we drove it home. With our experience at Mikes we have only 2 options for considering this kind of service: He and his crew are either incompetent or they are down and out scheisty mechanics? You decide which one. While providing the benefit of the doubt for the first clutch repair, maybe it was a bad part or some sort of an error but when you tell us that you put another clutch master cylinder the second time it has to be a lie or you guys just really don't know what you are doing.
These guys are great! Our 'local junker' car needed brake work. They were able to give us several options on items that required emergency repair, those that could wait a bit, and those that weren't really necessary. Appreciate their efforts to work within our budget.
I have been doing business with Mike for 5 years and he is absolutely trustworthy, honest and dependable. I would not take my car to anyone else. He's a hard worker and gets it right every time. Highly recommended.
