Mandarin Hide offers more then hand crafted cocktails, they all so have an extensive craft beer selection along with wine. I will definitely be back to try more.
I am new to St Pete and this has become my favorite bars. They make fantastic cocktails but aside from that the staff is amazing. Niall, Erin, Andrew, Mo. They are all amazing. Highly recommend... must try their old fashioned. Debatable who makes the best!!!
This place was awesome when it opened... You used to stroll in to a chill atmosphere and have very personal bartenders serving up custom craft cocktails to order.
I enjoy their motto used "Pouring our spirits to raise yours"
The experience starts walking through the door, the ambiance sets the tone of the prohibition time. Seeing a claw footed tub amongst classy decor of a different time. This is not a typical bar in any sense and that to me sets it apart from the average Rum and Coke or Coors lite. Watching the mixologists handcraft each drink is where the fun begins. The passion shows beginning with the hand crushed ice followed by high end libations accompanied by fresh herbs and fruit.
From the tiled ceiling to the lighting I loved the decor and ambiance of this place. Craft cocktails are delicious and they serve you frozen grapes that have been soaked in cranberry juice. The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming and even sat with me and chatted for a while. And they have live music!
Now that its become a bit more popular, on Friday and Saturday nights it feels more like a club than a cocktail bar. There are bouncers at the door, the bar is packed making it difficult to get an order in, there's not enough seating and it's so loud you have to yell at the person next to you. I can only assume that whoever owns this place is catering to what makes them the most money so fair enough. The crowd and ambiance are very time and day dependent.
Classy place with a large selection of liquors and cocktails. On Wednesday night they have a great jazz trio playing really good music.
