It is very hit or miss. There are periods where everything arrives perfect and other times where it is just horrible. Recently things have been steady, though I am tired of waiting 1.5hrs or more delivery time frames and no one ever calling me to let me know the driver is DELAYED! It is common courtesy, and sad that it is consistently lacking. I end up having to call and ask..."hello, my food is already 20-40 minutes past the delivery expectation, where is it?" for someone to finally let me know the NEW expected delivery. The food does typically arrive hot, and if there is a mistake in the order the front office is quick to fix the concern. I ordered tonight and once again was treated to a 1.5 hour delivery period 8:18pm... 8:45pm.. they are close right??
My fiance and I order through DD at least once a week, it has been up 5x a week at times! They are great and usually arrive almost exactly at the scheduled time. If a problem does occur they are quick to fix it. Grant is wonderful at communication and customer service, especially. Great service, and one we'll continue to use for as long as we're in St. Pete!
I used this service for the first time last week to order Mexican food and it didn't turn out the way we expected, but I'm giving a 4 star rating because DD made it right in the end. I understand that things happen and some things are out of our control, but we waited for our food for almost 2 hours. I'm not sure where the breakdown happened, either with the restaurant or the delivery service. Either way, DD gave me a full credit, which I wasn't expecting, nor did I ask for. For that, I am very happy and will definitely try the service again in the future.
This is the second time now they have forgotten a part of my order!!! The first time they said they would credit my account for what I paid for, THEY DID NOT! Decided to give them another try and once again forgot part of my order, the manager (Gill, I believe) said once again, I will credit your account for what I paid for! REALLY!!! No ty!!! Keep it, you apparently will need it for all the customers you are losing!!
