The gentleman there was very helpful and friendly. Plus they have a surprisingly good selection based on the size of the store. My go-to place to stock up.

I just left Gateway liquor and I was held there for about an hour against my will until I paid for a bottle of Patron Rapasoto that I slipped and fell as I tried to catch it. The bottle was on the top shelf stacked on top of two boxes of Patron, the third bottle of was without the Box sitting there loose and wiggling I was trying to hold it still and pulled one of the boxes out on the front of the top shelf while the attendant and I both tried to grab the falling bottle. The bottle hit the ground ans shattered. I lost my footing and almost fell in the glass so I reached for a shelf and knocked over a $16 bottle of liquor. I demanded that I speak with the owner who told me that I had to pay for all of it or I can buy one bottle of Patron and pay for the broken bottle of Patron also. The bottom line is that I was held against my will for an hour and he locked me inside of the liquor store. I insisted the police arrived because the man behind the counter told me I was acting odd and he believed me to be the under the influence when the police officers arrived they were very polite to me and apologize for what had just happened to me. He was very judgemental of me and accused me of being on drugs. They did not agree that I was acting odd or that I was under the influence I simply slipped in a store that had improperly stacked bottles and boxes. The police officers said there was little they could do though to help me I had to pay for one of the broken Patron bottles. If only I had not caught myself on that shelf and let myself fall on the glass, saving the 16 dollar bottle in the process, I could be sueing that store for a slip, fall, and lacerations rather than owing money for a broken bottle. Don't ever slip and fall in this place because if you break something your buying it. I just moved right down the street too so I was looking for a new liquor store I guess this is not the one. This was just not right and even the police officers knew it but because it's a mom and pop shop they really couldn't do anything for me.
