QHR IS THE BEST!! We interviewed 6 contractors to remodel our kitchen and add a 1/2 bath. QHR from the start stood out above the rest. They were not the lowest, nor were they the highest, they were fair. Dianne and Grady went over every aspect of they project in detail so that we knew exactly what to expect. They were always on time and stayed as late as needed if there was a problem. They maintained full control of all sub-contracotrs and inspected everything they did.=, and made sure it was done correctly. Dianne proved to be invaluable in picking out floor tile, backsplash, and paint. Her sense of color and design is excellent. The project went smoot5hly and the end result far exceeded our vision. I would not hesitate to reccomend QHR to anyone and we are planning to use them again for another project.
I worked with QHR on two houses that my wife and I purchased that were in need of serious repair. One was a ninety year old bungalow, and one was a split level ranch from the 70's. Both projects came in on budget and were finished in the time that the Portellis promised. Hopefully we won't move again soon, but if we do, I know who we'll call to fix the next one.

The renovation involved gutting and remodeling of a kitchen, replacement of AC unit and water heater as well as updates and painting. Diane and Grady were a joy to work with. Diane provided detailed updates with pictures every week. She guided us along every step of the process, helped immensely with decorating (she has a great sense of color), and more than made sure that all the major issues, and all the minor details, foreseen and unforeseen were taken care of. Diane took care of all the documentation, permitting and was there for us when furniture deliveries were made, and even helped us by picking up a stove we found on Craig’s List. We cannot say enough about the level of service, professionalism and enthusiasm that they bring to a project.
